Magicolor 5650EN Color Laser Review

I purchased the magicolor 5650EN based largely on reviews from another website. My Oki C3200n had performed admirably in my home office until it didn't. I rate the print quality of the 5650 ever so slightly below the Oki. The 5650's color variation is not quite as smooth as the Oki for large photos. Also, the 5650 has a sightly heavier font when comparing the same document.

The upside to the 5650 is its speed and cost of operation. The consumables of the 5650 look to be 40%-50% of the Oki. The 5650 is built for a much higher duty cycle than it will see in my home office. However, when comparing its total cost to other printers, it looked to be a much better deal. The rather large size is not an issue for me and the high build quality gives me confidence that it will last longer than my 4 year old Oki. I've been extremely pleased with this purchase and highly recommend the magicolor 5650EN.

I upgraded from Fujitsu fi-5220c to this model, mainly for
increased speed. We use the scanner mainly to scan medical
records using PaperPort12 Pro. Unfortunately, the documentation
by Fujitsu and Nuance is lacking. For example, the Fujitsu 6140
comes with a excellent bundle of software but it is unclear how
to manage these features in PaperPort. A video tutorial demonstrating
the features, such as advantage of ISIS drivers vs TWAIN etc would
be most helpful. Otherwise, the scanner has performed well.

I BOUGHT THIS FAX MACHINE BECAUSE I WANTED THE CONVENIENCE OF BEING ABLE TO FAX QUICKLY . I COULD SCAN TO FAX FROM MY PRINTER AND THEN CONNECT THE COMPUTER TO THE PHONE LINES TO FAX. Canon P170-DH is a business adding machine with a luminescent display with bright blue digits. I bought it for the display, because it is easier to read than a regular LCD display with black digits with no lighting. This is not a scientfic calculator as described at some websites. P170-DH is a non-scientific business machine with add, subtract, multiply, divide, subtotal, grand total, cost-sell-margin, and percentages. It also does time-of-day subtraction to calculate hours worked, making it the only adding machine in this price range with that feature. The red-black-ribbon printer works fine, but it is not as fast as more expensive adding machines. All adding machines have the same buttons, so I suspect the printer speed is what determines the price. I hope you already know how to use an adding machine (not like a calculator); otherwise the one-sheet instruction paper will not be very helpful. Looking for more help, I downloaded the instructions for similar adding machines from Sharp and Casio. Turns out it is the very same single sheet of instructions. Apparently Canon, Casio, Sharp, all use the same internals for their adding machine, and they drop in the same instruction sheet.

We had this phone before and due to an electrical problem in our apartment, the main phone adapter stopped working. Prior to that incident, I had no problems with the phone. My husband used it for extended periods during work conference calls and the battery last throughout his calls. The phone also allows him to use a headset so he is hands-free during those long calls. It also has a belt clasp so he attaches it to his belt while using his headset and his hands are free to type on his computer. The phone is light weight and fits my hands very nice. Because of this, we bought the exact phone model since it suits our lifestyle just right. The only down side is that the voice message does not say the date and time of the missed calls when we check for messages. Otherwise, I still give this phone an A+.
